Recharge Yourself in One of Our Fully Equipped Chalets in Nova Scotia
When you find yourself in need of rest, Irwin Lake Chalets offers you serenity in one of our pet-friendly fully equipped chalets in Nova Scotia. Surrounded by the wondrous beauty and quietude of nature, you will find yourself fully recharged by the end of your visit. It is our wish that during your stay you truly enjoy life at Mother Nature’s pace.
Our chalets offer you every convenience you need during your stay with us, such as a fully functional kitchen. Only a short distance from our chalets is Lake Irwin. From one of the docks, you can enjoy the sound of loons or relax to the soothing sounds of the water. You can also dive into the clean and clear water of the lake.
Let Our Part of the World Captivate You
We are proud of our charming spot in beautiful Nova Scotia, which is perfect for an anniversary or a little romantic getaway. Whatever time of year you stopover with us, you can enjoy the luxury of soaking in a hot tub while in natural surroundings.
Whether you are looking for a completely secluded vacation, or want the best of both worlds, we are situated in the perfect spot. You can partake of daily nature walks, meditate at the lake and then end the day observing the starry sky. Or you can enjoy the quietude and a quick trip to Truro for a little shopping expedition.
Irwin Lake Chalets opened for business in the summer of 2001. In June of 2007, the Hutchinson family became majority shareholders, and in January of 2010, assumed total management of the business. Seven years later, in January of 2017, the Hutchinson’s became the sole owners of Irwin Lake Chalets. Our goal has always been that of total “customer satisfaction” offered in a tranquil, private getaway environment surrounded by nature with only the call of the loons on the lake to break the silence.
Our cedar log chalets in Nova Scotia are in Old Barns, Colchester County, just 3 km south of highway 236, on a portion of Lot 18 as shown on the Truro township plan dated August 12, 1788. The properties in the vicinities of Irwin Lake have provided a valuable timber resource for more than 200 years and still do today. Settlement around Irwin Lake eluded the New England Planters of the 1760s as well as the Acadians a century before.
