Irwin Lake Chalets Hot Tub Policy

RABBIT FURROW & FOX DEN (2 BEDROOM BUNGALOW)

DEER NOOK (1 BEDROOM BUNGALOW)

OSPREY ROOST, EAGLE’S NEST, OWL’S PERCH (ALL 1 BEDROOM LOFT)

  • When you book one of our hot tub chalets, it is understood that your private hot tub is for your adult relaxing pleasure only. It is not intended for guests in adjacent chalets, visitors or children under 10.

  • Our hot tubs are adult use only. For health and safety, children under the age of 10 are not permitted and adult supervision is mandatory for child and youth over the age of 10 using the hot tub.

  • It is absolutely necessary to shower with soap and water before using your hot tub. This removes body lotions, cosmetics and oils which are very harmful to the quality of your water. Failure to do so may mean that your hot tub could have to be drained and will not be usable for the remainder of your stay.

  • We come down to your chalet every morning between 10:00 -11:30 to check the water quality and chemical reading of your hot tub. We need not disturb you however, if you need supplies, this is good time to let us know.

  • Do not use the top of the hot tub as a table for candles, eating, seating accommodation or standing.

  • Do not adjust the temperature of your hot tub and never leave the cover off while not in use. This allows the temperature to drop substantially and allows bugs and leaves to enter your hot tub. The normal temperature of the hot tub is 98 – 104 F and it takes several hours to bring this temperature back to normal if you turn it down. It takes 2 days to raise the temperature if turned off.  If your temperature has been turned down or your water quality has deteriorated and causes an immediate water change, there will be a $200.00 non refundable charge to your card. 15 minutes in your hot tub will drop the temperature 1 degree or more in cold weather. An hour or more in your hot tub during cold nights could mean temperature will not restore enough for you to use your hot again during your stay. On cold evenings, rather than removing your hot tub lid completely, folding it back halfway will help maintain the temperature of your hot tub water.

  •  Please understand that we have no control over outdoor temperature or power outages. Many guests come purely for our hot tubs, so if this is the case, please check weather report before your visit and feel free to cancel your booking 5 days prior to your check in should you be concerned about weather. If we have a substantial power outage, your hot tub will not heat until power has been restored and may take hours to reach its usable temperature. If you chose to come and there is a power outage substantial enough to prevent you using your hot tub, we will happily refund the hot tub portion of your invoice ($60.00 per night) once you have alerted us and we have checked the temperature.

  • It is not recommended that you consume alcoholic beverages while using your hot tub. For all other beverage consumption, please do not use glass products. Plastic glassware is provided.

  • Please refer to the coffee table binder containing instructions for your chalets hot tub, in addition to other useful information to support you during your stay.

  • If you would like to have a staff member check the quality of your water before you check out, we are happy to do so.
